Meet Our Instructors
AMY ASCH (she/her) “I had tried and even loved yoga but not until I spiraled into a really dark painful place did I get to realize the transformative power of yoga! It is an ongoing practice of returning to my heart-center and responding to all the people and situations in my life with a deeper grace, clarity, and love. These practices have enabled me to get comfortable with the uncomfortable and to dial into my truth and trust my inner knowing. As a teacher, I love to connect with my students and support them in opening up to that potency within themselves!”
NIKKI CABALLERO (she/her) is a Sound Healing Guide, Certified Hypnotist and Energy Worker. Her work focuses on guiding individuals on their path to self-healing by teaching them how to access different levels of consciousness through sound and hypnosis addressing issues concerning the mind, body, and emotions. In addition, her practice weaves together her personal experience in the use of medicinal plants and herbs, symbolism, ceremony, moon phases and Jungian shadow work. ANNA FASTENKO (she/her) Anna Fastenko has been practicing yoga for over 30 years. That long of a journey inspired by many great yoga masters has led to a natural overflow of accumulated knowledge that was asking to be shared, initiating a teacher certification in 2020. Having worked as a classical homeopath for almost two decades, Anna brings her deep understanding of physiology and wholistic health to her classes, explaining how the body works through movement, breath, and meditation practices. Avoiding injury and adjusting the asanas for your own body is a paramount priority, and many of the classes include additional seasonal healing and cleansing techniques. Anna likes to weave contemporary psychological insights into ancient yogic philosophy (her initial education was in psychology and she is a current Family Constellation method facilitator), and you can expect to leave each of her classes with new knowledge and better understanding of yourselves. Sometimes there even might be fusion elements from Thai Chi and medical Qigong, which Anna has studied previously.
KAT FREYA (she/her) Kathryn’s movement practice is rooted in witnessing the body as a vessel for healing, beauty, and transformation. Discovering yoga through her dance training, her classes focus on cultivating the self-awareness to listen to the body, and then move intuitively from a place of authenticity and honesty. Since beginning a daily asana practice in 2015, Kathryn has been unlearning the disconnect between body, mind, and spirit, and instead learning to love and listen to the innate wisdom that resides deeply within. One favorite mantra of hers is, "it’s how it feels, not how it looks."
JACOB FRIEDMAN (he/him) As a yoga teacher, Jacob guides you to cultivate a curiosity that may be panoramic or precise, but is always oriented towards the present. Knowing that the potency of your practice depends upon the quality of your inquiring attention, each class is designed as a formal play structure within which you might extract a morsel of insight from the inner workings of your experience. Using tangible forms of asana and pranayama, we investigate the more ephemeral narratives internal to the form. We play with a plethora of tools, techniques, and maps to orient and organize the mind, body, and breath with integrity. Landing fully alive in the here and now, we set up the conditions to have a joyful experience, and to radiate that joy to others. We practice for personal and communal well-being.
EUGENE LEWINS (he/him) has been teaching yoga for twenty years. He integrates his study of traditional yoga with master teachers in the Iyengar tradition with his western based training as a certified massage therapist. In his own body, he puts yoga into practice as a Tango dancer and as a rock climber. His own journey of full healing from a spinal accident ten years ago informs his compassion and support of his students in dealing with and overcoming their own challenges. He loves poetry as a way to bring heart and inspiration into his classes and life.
MOLLY LUTHER (she/her) Molly was introduced to yoga around the age of 10 as a way to pass the time indoors in the Arizona heat. She began a committed practice during the pandemic and, shortly after moving to Portland, joined the All Heart Yoga community in 2022. Molly is a recent graduate of The Practice Space’s 300-Hour Yoga Pathway & Teacher Training program taught by Meghan Maris. Molly’s teaching is rooted in the Hatha Yoga tradition, yet adapted to support modern life and functional movement. Her style is thoughtful, playful, and loving. She aims to create spaciousness, reflection, and self-acceptance in the body, mind, and spirit. Her classes often include poetry readings, incorporating her passion for art and creativity.
FILIPA MARQUES COSTA (she/her) Filipa offers private Reiki healing sessions at All Heart Yoga on Mondays. Learn more / book your appointment. She is also certified in Power Vinyasa (RTY-200) and trained in trauma-informed yoga practice.
LIZ MCCAUSLAND (she/her) Liz has been walking a spiritual path since high school, when she was first introduced to meditation and Hatha Yoga. Her teaching style is inclusive and both grief and trauma-informed. Working with the body, breath, heart, and mind, her classes weave movement with contemplative practices. Her training is rooted in alignment-based yoga and a person-centered approach.
After a profound loss in midlife, she found yoga asana and pranayama to be integral to her healing journey. This inspired her to dive deeper into yoga science and philosophy. She has been teaching in Portland since 2018 and completed her 200-HR & 300-HR teacher training at Yoga Bhoga. Her training is rooted in alignment-based postures and informed by additional training in the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda, Reiki, meditation, Bedside Yoga, and Accessible Yoga. She became a certified death doula in 2021 and completed her MSW in 2025. She hosts monthly community grief circles and offers 1:1 support for people who want to explore how to move through their grief in a transformative way.
NIRVANA PADILLA (she/her) “Believe me when I say: I know that just showing up can sometimes be the greatest effort we make. My intention is to offer classes that allow for the silliness and the seriousness of life to commingle. My style is currently focused on alignment principles and the curious power of vibration. Sanskrit mantras and pranayama practices have been a great inspiration and anchor for me, and I hope to share some of that in class.
I have had a fluctuating relationship with yoga for about 20 years. Not that any relationship is consistently smooth-sailing, but this past year yoga sat itself firmly at my doorstep. So, I gave in to exploring that. With a gentle nudge from Laela Wilding, friend, mentor, and teacher, I began studying with Meghan Maris in January of 2025. I take the education quite seriously, and I have a dedicated practice that I treat with deep respect…and silliness!”
ELEANOR STRAY (she/her) Eleanor has been dedicated to embodied meditation practices for 7+ years. In 2023, she studied under Sarah Powers and received certification to teach Insight Yoga, a style of yoga that combines yin (passive), yang (active) and meditation (spiritual) modalities. Eleanor has been teaching meditation for several years and is a certified Mindfulness-Meditation Teacher. She is recently studied with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach. As a lifelong spiritual seeker and poet, Eleanor's guidance often includes poetry and readings from the Zen tradition. You can find her wandering in Forest Park most days.
LAELA WILDING (she/her) Laela’s classes are approachable, with an emphasis on turning inward while finding a sense of ease in the body with movement and spaciousness. Laela sets the tone in her classes for calm reflection, friendly inquiry, and physical exploration, and often including readings or guided meditations. It is her hope that each student finds their own joy in the movement and the stillness that her classes offer, bringing these qualities into daily life.
Laela has been teaching yoga classes in Portland since 2017 (E-RYT® 200, YACEP®). She received great encouragement from her teacher and mentor, Holiday Johnson; received her 200 hour yoga teacher training at Yoga Bhoga, and has additional training in Reiki, Yin Yoga with Bernie Clark, Accessible Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and is level-2 i-Rest certified. Laela grew up in Portland, and raised a family here. She also works as a graphic designer, and is the owner of All Heart Yoga. Laela offers private yoga lessons, as well as 1-on-1 guided meditations and Yoga Nidra.
EMILY WRIGHT (she/her) Emily's greatest guides are creativity, honesty and heart, and she strives to bring each to every space she holds for healing. Her classes have a soothing tone that inspires softness and self-compassion, balanced with activation of the physical and energetic bodies to empower a connection to wholeness. The practices she offers are the same ones that have guided her to finding steadfast peace in the most trying moments, and her guidance is rooted in trusting the wisdom of life's unfolding.
