Body Love Resolution – A January Curvy Series

Resist the New Year’s Resolution diet trap and instead learn to love your body just the way it is. Join Curvy Yoga teacher Rose Bak every Saturday in January to start your year off on a positive note and find joy in stretching your bodacious body.

Think you can't do yoga because you have a larger body? Do you feel your curves keep you from getting into a yoga pose the "right" way? Curvy yoga focuses on working with your curves, not against them. Poses come with a variety of options to help you find the best pose for your unique body. This workshop focusing on making peace with those parts of you that have felt like a hurdle you needed to work around, and experience the joy of practicing WITH everything you bring to the mat. Shed self-criticism as you make way for a healthy self-image and a renewed relationship with yoga, and learn appropriate modifications for every shape and size that will turn even the most frustrating of postures into nurturing and safe alignment-based movement.

Each class in the series will include a special focus on working with your unique body:

  • Week 1 – Tummy Troubles

  • Week 2 – I Can’t Reach!

  • Week 3 – My Chest is In the Way

  • Week 4 – I Have No Balance

  • Week 5 – Reclaiming My Space
