Yoga Nidra or “yogic sleep” is one of the deepest healing practices of the yogic tradition. Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation that systematically moves you to increasingly deeper states of relaxation. During the practice, you will be guided through the many layers of your being (physical, mental, emotional, spiritual), allowing you to release long-held emotions and experience a profound sense of wholeness. This workshop will begin with gentle Yin Yoga to release physical tension and prepare the body to fully relax. This will be followed by a 45 minute Yoga Nidra practice & optional aromatherapy. If you have been feeling exhausted and stressed -out or are interested in exploring deeper states of consciousness, this is the workshop for you!
Anne Witmer is a gifted Yin Yoga teacher and yoga therapist who has been teaching in the Portland area for over 10 years. Anne studied I-rest Yoga Nidra with Richard Miller in 2016.
